Mary Beth Bowen

Ms. Bowen is a native of Western New York who recently relocated to San Antonio to attend Oblate School of Theology. Ms. Bowen is a registered nurse whose clinical expertise is in Oncology. Working twelve years at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City prepared Mary Beth to administer a Comprehensive Cancer Program in Orange County. For ten years prior to pursuing her Ph. D., Mary Beth worked as the Vice President of Nursing at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia, New York.

Mary Beth is a life long Roman Catholic who is an active member of the Immaculate Conception Chapel Community at Oblate School of Theology.

Ms. Bowen’s academic interests includes spirituality in nursing and healthcare leadership, mentoring women in the Catholic Church, the spirituality of St. Vincent de Paul, and spirituality of the laity.

Following matriculation Ms. Bowen hopes to teach, research, and publish in the Catholic spiritual tradition.
