The Pat Guidon Center, home of the Ministry to Ministers Sabbatical Program (MtM), offers relaxing and inviting accommodations while maintaining simplicity and privacy. Cozy, home-like lounges, a stunning glass-walled chapel, gardens and family-style dining arrangements offer an atmosphere conducive to rest, prayer, private study and enjoyable living. Participants have spacious bedrooms with private bath, individually controlled air-conditioning and heating, and high speed internet access.

The Center

The Ministry to Ministers (MtM) Sabbatical Program provides a sabbatical experience for Roman Catholic priests, religious women and men, and lay ministers who have been engaged in pastoral ministry for a number of years and who will be returning to an active ministerial mission or assignment, whether in a full-time or reduced time capacity.

Features

The Pat Guidon Center is a 25,000 square-foot facility nestled among a dense grove of oak trees on the campus of Oblate School of Theology. The center is split into two roughly equal structures connected by a large walled-in courtyard that centers on a strand of trees. The west structure contains administrative offices and the main public spaces, while the more secluded east structure primarily houses guest rooms and the dining area. The walled courtyard provides a contemplative and secluded gathering space for the center’s guests who come for the four-month Ministry to Ministers Sabbatical Program. It provides the setting in which guests can withdraw from their routine ministries to rest, reflect upon their calling, and then return renewed to their communities.
