Antonio is a San Antonio local bringing a lifelong passion for learning and creativity to his service as Director of Continuing Education. He has previously taught at the high school level (2020-2023) and in an adult educational setting as an instructor for OST’s Instituto de Formación Pastoral / Pastoral Formation Institute (2021-Present). He has also served as a North American Language and Cultural Assistant in Spain (2017-2018).
A graduate of Oblate School Theology, his thesis focused on Catholic theology’s treatment of creation in dialogue with indigenous wisdom traditions of the Americas.
Publications:
2022 – “Grave Importance: Religio-Political Architecture and the Tāp Pīlam Coahuiltecan” in Perspectivas, the online peer-reviewed journal of the Hispanic Theological Initiative.
Presentations:
2021 – “Groundwork for Interpreting Scripture in the Catholic Tradition” for a project from St. Mary’s University project promoting biblical literacy, La Biblia y su Tradición – The Bible and its Tradition. Delivered in English and Spanish.
Oblate School of Theology has been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada to award the Master of Divinity, Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry (English and Spanish), Master of Arts (Theology), Master of Arts (Spirituality), Master of Arts (Sacred Scripture), Ph.D. in Spirituality, and Doctor of Ministry degrees. Approved for a Comprehensive Distance Education Program.
