Befriending the Mystic Within: Abiding in the Heart of the Beloved

September 15 @ 10:00 am - September 17 @ 12:00 pm

$175 - $295

You are invited to a three day retreat which draws upon the works and the energy of the great Christian Mystics, exploring their timeless wisdom and exploring how their words deeply resonate in our fractured world today. Engaging with them in Lectio Divina and reflecting on our own unique voice and inner wisdom, we will deepen our contemporary spiritual journey finding expression through quiet meditation, interior journaling, rest, contemplative arts, labyrinth and body prayer.  Please join us for this loving encounter of holy wisdom within each of us across the centuries.

“Let me seek, then the gift of silence, and poverty, and solitude where everything I touch is turned into a prayer: where the sky is my prayer, the birds are my prayer, the wind in the trees is my prayer for God is all in all.”
– From “Thoughts in Solitude” by Thomas Merton

The retreat will begin at 10:00am, and you may check in as early as 8:30am on Friday, September 15th. For those staying at Oblate Renewal Center, check out is at 12noon on Sunday, September 17th. Please bring casual, comfortable clothes, a blanket or shawl, a prayer journal, and a Bible.
