Art and Prayer: Collage and Visio Divina
October 5 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 1:00pm on Thursday, repeating until November 9, 2017
During times of life transition and spiritual transformation, we may seek opportunities to pause and nourish our souls. This 8-week, experiential, ecumenical women’s retreat offers various forms of collage to put our inner process on paper. Through Visio Divina or divine seeing, we will have opportunities to see the movement and pattern of the Holy Spirit through this season of our lives. No artistic experience required; all creative materials provided. Each week, Tina Karagulian offers a heart space of music, creativity, and reflection. Limited number of slots available.
Tina Karagulian is an artist, poet, spiritual director, wife, and mother of one son. Throughout her life, she explored ways to integrate healing of the mind, emotions, and spirit. Currently a retired counselor, Tina received a Masters in Social Work degree from Boston University in 1992, and incorporated art collage, dream exploration, and poetry in her walk with others. A speaker and facilitator at the Summer Institute, contemplative events, and women’s retreats at Oblate School of Theology, Tina is also the author of the memoir It Is Time, books of poetry New Skin: Poetry and Prayers, and Under the Papaya Tree: A Book of Love Poems, and her prayers are included in the following anthologies: Lifting Women’s Voices: Prayers to Change the World and Sustaining Abundant Life. In 2012, Tina received her Spiritual Direction certificate from Direction Ministries, and found herself releasing her mind and life stories to enter more deeply into the sacred heart through quiet contemplation, paint on canvas, and various forms of sound healing. Tina offers space to drop into your heart and your joy through creativity, meditation, and music. http://www.tinakaragulian.com/
