Art and Movement: Day of Nourishment on Your Spiritual Journey
September 16 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm$60
During times of life transition and spiritual transformation, we may seek opportunities to pause and nourish our souls. This day-long, experiential, ecumenical women’s retreat offers self-care through collage and free-form Nia movement. Through heart-centered creativity, movement, song, and ritual, we will view, feel, and voice the flow of the Holy Spirit within our lives. No artistic or movement experience required! Spiritual directors Tina Karagulian and Terry Pozza will be your joy-filled facilitators for this day of nourishment.
Please wear comfortable clothing for movement, bring a jacket or blanket if you get chilly, and let us know about any dietary needs and allergies for lunch. Please plan to arrive at 8:30 am for our day of nurturing!
Tina Karagulian is an artist, poet, spiritual director, wife, and mother of one son. Throughout her life, she explored ways to integrate healing of the mind, emotions, and spirit. Currently a retired counselor, Tina received a Masters in Social Work degree from Boston University in 1992, and incorporated art collage, dream exploration, and poetry in her walk with others. A speaker and facilitator at the Summer Institute, contemplative events, and women’s retreats at Oblate School of Theology, Tina is also the author of the memoir It Is Time, books of poetry New Skin: Poetry and Prayers, and Under the Papaya Tree: A Book of Love Poems, and her prayers are included in the following anthologies: Lifting Women’s Voices: Prayers to Change the World and Sustaining Abundant Life. In 2012, Tina received her Spiritual Direction certificate from Direction Ministries, and found herself releasing her mind and life stories to enter more deeply into the sacred heart through quiet contemplation, paint on canvas, and various forms of sound healing. Tina offers space to drop into your heart and your joy through creativity, meditation, and music. http://www.tinakaragulian.com/
